When do you move from boot-strapped biz to hiring contractors and team members?

The answer is dependent on each individual business and its needs but if you’re a solopreneur, a lot of the decision making process will depend on your balance of time and resources.

If you’re at the beginning stages of business, you might not have the choice but to do everything yourself. Your funds are low and maybe your time is mostly spent finding clients.

A lot of business owners who hire me tend to have less time and more resources to get the funnel build out of the way because it doesn’t bring them joy and they’d rather spend time focusing on coaching their clients.

Anything that takes time to build will inevitably be subject to ebbs and flows.

I’ve been working on showing up in different ways based on my needs in business and in my personal life.

Julie Chenell from Funnel Gorgeous shared a presentation on going from hustle to ease. She shared the importance of recognizing where you are in your business in terms of seasons and what you can do based on that assessment.

Here’s how I approach the topic of showing up. It’s given me space to expand my definition of “showing up” so that I can be more creative in the ways I can give to myself and others.

When I used to teach, one of my main lesson planning priorities was to think of different ways to explain a concept for the different types of learners.

Online courses and programs are the same.

The content can be great but some people might not ever open the content if they prefer audio over video. If they hate reading and need visuals. If they need to process it or try it out themselves in workbooks or spreadsheets.

If you caught me in a group setting - I probably spoke maybe for a minute or two. So I’ll be more vocal here:

I’m Kiyoko - and I support wellness coaches and therapists build the infrastructure needed to have a widely successful online business.

Ok - I get the elevator pitch - but what does that mean?

I work first and foremost to understand my clients’ ideal audience. I love to learn about their subconscious beliefs, their wildest dreams, and specific problems they face on a day to day basis.

My past clients and I have built sales funnels to sell their online courses and coaching programs, websites, challenges, and more.

The more people you know, the more fun the party becomes 🎉

Last week I had the opportunity to attend @funnelgorgeous ‘s Marketer’s Heart Event in New Orleans, LA.

It’s easy as an online business owner and introvert to stay isolated from human interaction - but as all things human, the more connections we make, the more uplifted and fulfilled we feel in our lives.

I’m so grateful for the online connections I’ve made since the last Marketer’s Heart event last year - this year I learned “networking” (PS I hate that word - it feels transactional, doesn’t it?) isn’t as hard when you know more people 😉

“Foundations” is my word for this year - I know, it is not sexy at all. But I continue to come back to this word with every take away from this conference and from this past year:

- Breaking the indecision cycle comes from recognizing the seasons and trusting the support system I have @juliecchenell
- I gotta continue to work on mindset to NOT discounting my success a-la @topsievandenbosch ‘s presentation
- Good design communicates more efficiently and effectively @loveinspired

PS I also got to meet my CPA/bookkeeper in person and I can’t say how grateful I am of him ✨ I didn’t expect to have a cry-at-the-bar-praising-eachother type conversation with him but I hope everyone has a great a friendship with the people they work with ✨✨✨
